Apples and oranges…

For those of you who understand some basic logic…
An apple is not orange! (apple ≠ orange) Can we agree on this? Let’s assume we can.
Not all “not an apple” are oranges. Or simply: if it is not an apple it does not automatically mean it is orange.
So far clear?
Let’s go one step further.
Bringing awareness to a lack of apples does not mean you will get oranges. Right? ?
So what follows next takes some mental gymnastics which is beyond me. ??? However, somehow people jump to the conclusion that talking about missing apples will (automatically, by default, in every case) get you oranges. ?
Can anyone explain to me how do we get to this leap of faith conclusion?
